He played with composure and aggression, setting a strong platform for the Tigers. Jobin Joby, contributed a valuable 51 off 50 deliveries, guiding the team through the middle overs despite the fall of wickets. Contributions from Anuj Jotin (13 off 11) helped the team post a defendable total, although Sharafuddeen’s impressive bowling, taking 4/25, posed challenges for the batting lineup
The chase for Aries Kollam Sailors began on a rocky note, with key batters Abhishek Nair and skipper Sachin Baby departing early. Despite a fighting 23 from Vathsal Govind and a quick 20 from Mohammed Shanu, the Sailors struggled to build partnerships. The disciplined bowling by Kochi’s attack, led by Basil Thampi (2/33), Shine John Jacob, and Anoop G, who claimed two wickets, kept the Sailors under constant pressure.
