Brothers Unite in Blue

A dream reunion turns into reality as the Samson brothers unite under the Kochi Blue Tigers banner for the much anticipated Season 2 of the Kerala Cricket League. What makes their journey even more inspiring is the bond they share, not just as brothers, but as teammates and motivators.

Sanju Vishwanath Samson, a name that ignites excitement among cricket lovers, has a story built on resilience, self belief, and rising on merit. Despite facing many hardships early on, he didn’t give up. Instead, he silently worked on his game and fitness, determined to prove himself through sheer performance.

His breakthrough came in the 2012–13 Ranji Trophy, where he scored his first class century against Himachal Pradesh, setting the tone for a remarkable domestic career. Over the years, his consistent performances turned heads, and he became one of the few cricketers to rise without the backing of elite academies like Mumbai or Delhi. His journey came full circle when he became the youngest IPL captain for Rajasthan Royals, leading one of the league’s most iconic teams. Today, he is known not only for his flair and composure but also for his top tier fitness, a complete turnaround from the days when he was once written off.

The same goes for Saly Samson. His playing career was nearly derailed by injuries and repeated surgeries. Saly himself described it as a tough patch, but he never quit. He recently hit a sensational century against the Ranji Cricket Club in the TDCA A Division Cricket League. Sanju once praised him publicly:

“You fought very hard for 4 long years with your injuries and surgeries… I salute your passion and dedication.”

Sanju and Saly’s story is one of resilience, self belief, and rising on merit, an inspiration for every young cricketer chasing a dream from the margins.

The Kochi Blue Tigers signed Saly Samson for ₹75,000, reuniting him with his brother Sanju Samson, who became the most expensive player in the Kerala Cricket League, with a bid of ₹26.86 lakh. The excitement doubled when Saly was named captain and Sanju the vice captain.
